One Less Stress: Booking Professional Transport

Location scouting for your venue can be a super fun time - popping around place to place, and seeing which spaces and places make your heart sing. But… uh oh! You’ve fallen head over heels in love with a ceremony location - but it’s miles away from your dream reception venue.

We’re here to talk logistics of moving guests on your wedding day - and trust us, this is going to be key to keeping everyone happy and safe throughout the day!

“Transport is the last thing on your mind when planning a wedding!” says Katie from Tranzit - so we’ve picked their brains to come up with a top list of tips for arranging transport through the day.

BOOK IN EARLY

Much like anything wedding related, booking in as soon as you know your wedding date is a massive bonus - you’ll absolutely ease your mind by knowing the hard stuff is sorted. “Book early and we can sort out the finer detail closer to the time,” says Katie. Exact timings will come closer to the actual date. Make sure you confirm passenger numbers and locations with your chosen company - and, Katie adds, “ensure this is clearly communicated to your guests for a smooth day,” - because your guests are bound to ask!

DO YOUR RESEARCH

What companies provide the service you require, and how does it compare to your budget? Are they trustworthy and reliable? Checking out online reviews, or asking your venue, are some great ways to check if they’re worth booking.

THINK ABOUT HOW MANY GUESTS YOU’LL NEED TO MOVE

Just a few, or a whole busload? Or maybe two? You’ll need to know this when chatting to your transport company. Generally, they’ll have a whole range of vehicles available - Katie says, “we have all size options from 11 seaters to 57 seaters… from mini-vans to a 57 seat coach.” So no need to stress if you just have too many friends!

TELL YOUR GUESTS TO LEAVE THEIR CARS AT HOME

A massive bonus of hiring professional transport for your guests is a guaranteed sober driver. There’s nothing like the temptation of an open bar combined with the happy celebrations - and the last thing you want is to worry about guests deciding to drive home under the influence. “Get everyone to and from the venue and their accommodation safely and hassle free,” Katie says.

You’ll save ample amounts of time, stress and hassle by booking a pro: knowing that your guests are in safe hands, and that they’re free to enjoy a few extra glasses of bubbly! Get them to the ceremony, between venues, and home safe and sound. Encourage your guests to opt for the bus over driving - it’s sure to be a good time filled with a bus-load of singing, celebrating, elated friends and family!
