Evening engagement session.
The Wairarapa landscape is a fabulous backdrop at any time of year, just check out these beautiful winter colours and golden evening light! Short, yet very sweet blog post today, courtesy of Qingster photography.
If you have decided against having a pre-wedding or engagement session, this'll make you re-consider!
This is what they had to say...
In the end it was a race against time for the sun. Hayley and Karl had a meeting at "Little Branches" in Featherston where they're getting married in December and we had the choice of doing their "Pre-Wedding shoot" either before or after that. Naturally going for the quality of the late afternoon light was the right call - but the sun sinks fast in wintertime in the Wairarapa. The first location we'd planned wasn't a big problem and we really liked the look and feel of the Ruamahanga river. All the time however, the sun kept slipping lower and lower below the tall trees on the skyline and we had to quickly pack up and race on to our second site.
This location was just east of "Stonehenge Aotearoa" and our thanks to Rob for letting us shoot on his land where the so-called "haunted-house" can be found.
As you can see, the view out towards the Tararua Ranges provided a wonderful backdrop for these final shots - and we certainly didn't lose the race to get there in time.
Let's leave the final comment to Qing: "The winter light of the Wairarapa on this day was very warm and soft, giving these Pre-Wedding images of Hayley & Karl a nice golden, romantic film look. I'm now really getting excited about this beautiful couple's Summer Wedding".
